History

The foundations for Wolter Koops were laid on 1 April 1961. On this page you will find our history from the one-person transport company to a large international logistics service provider. Our steady growth over the years is the result of an unwavering commitment, ambition and effort of management, commitment of employees and customer trust.

1961

Wolter Koops and Hetty Koops-Boshuis both had the ambition to start their own company. Father Koops trade in potatoes did not have their preference.
Together they saw more future in road transport. On 1 April 1961, Wolter Koops Transporten is registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Utrecht. A first truck is bought, a Bedford from the army. Soon it turned out this truck was too small and a second truck was purchased. In the early years, the transports consist mainly of transporting agricultural products from the farmland.

2018

From a one-person transport company in 1961 to a sizable international logistics service provider in 2018.
