International logistics service provider Wolter Koops intends to build a completely new logistics centre in Zeewolde, the Netherlands. This is due to a fire that destroyed almost all of the industrial premises of the Zeewolde branch in November 2012. Examination of the options to rebuild the company started immediately after the fire. Agreement was finally reached with Zeewolde municipal council on new construction at Trekkersveld 3, Zeewolde. Trekkersveld 3 is an industrial estate in the municipality of Zeewolde, developed especially for businesses in the logistics sector. Wolter Koops will house various activities under one roof in this newly built facility. For example, this logistics centre will consist of elements including an office building, conditions storage and cross docking facilities, a truck wash, a workshop and a damage repair company. The new buildings will be located directly adjacent to the Gooise Weg. A central location and good connections to the main road network make Zeewolde a great place to establish logistics companies.
