The first pile of the newly built Wolter Koops logistics centre was driven on 18 October 2013 at the Fabricageweg in the Trekkersveld III industrial estate in Zeewolde and marked with a festive gathering. Wolter Koops senior drove the first pile and therefore kicked off the construction under the watchful eye of employees, family members, councillors and invitees. The expectation is that the new logistics centre will be operational at the end of 2014. Wolter Koops will bring various activities together under one roof at this logistics centre. Besides offices, there will also be a conditioned cross docking hall, a deep-freeze warehouse with mobile shelving, a truck wash and a damage repair company. A central location and good connections to the main road network make Zeewolde a great place to establish logistics companies.
