What is Lean & Green?
Lean & Green is for companies that want to take the next step in making their company more sustainable through their transport and logistics. Costs can be saved at the same time through chain collaboration and optimization of logistics processes.
To achieve the Lean & Green Star, we looked at how things inside and outside our company can be structurally made smarter and more sustainable. It is important to be innovative in organizing business operations more efficiently and effectively.
Sustainable investment in people and technology
Entrepreneurship can’t be separated from caring for the environment; our actions as a company affect people and the environment. How do we minimize the impact on the environment and look for alternatives for our energy provision? In the pursuit of sustainability, a balance should be found between the care for ‘People, Planet and Profit’.
Innovation and sustainability are important aspects of our business operations. Within Wolter Koops we are therefore continuously looking for opportunities to make our activities more sustainable. New innovative technology is used in business processes where possible.
Future
Obtaining the first Lean & Green Star confirms our sense of responsibility to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and to be an added value for the future of the logistics sector.
